Transitions Birth Center was built on a simple belief: women deserve access to out-of-hospital birth in a beautiful, safe, professionally staffed environment — regardless of income, background, or zip code.

TBC is a freestanding birth center facility licensed in the state of Florida. We maintain two private birth suites, each with a large hydrotherapy tub, private bathroom, and comfortable space for your support team. Our facility is equipped with emergency medications and neonatal resuscitation equipment. St. Vincent Southside is directly across the street, and HCA Memorial is nearby — our midwife holds privileges there for continuity of care if a transfer is needed.

TBC operates as a facility only. We do not employ midwives. Instead, qualified midwives are credentialed and privileged at TBC — the same model used by physicians at hospitals. Red Moon Midwifery is our primary credentialed provider. Other licensed midwives may apply for facility privileges.

Victoria Gordon, CNM serves as Clinical Director of Transitions Birth Center. She is the founder of Red Moon Midwifery, a Certified Nurse Midwife with more than a decade of experience in out-of-hospital and hospital-based birth, and a licensed provider in Florida and Georgia.
